Paradise island in Davao

     Paradise Island is very proud of its humble beginnings. What started out as a weekend picnic destination back in the seventies, catering mostly to friends and their families has become what it is today as not only the preferred island getaway for families but is also the byword for those growing impulsive groups who are so busy and yet wise enough to squeeze - in leisure in their hectic schedules at the spur of the moment.

     Having a shoreline of almost eight hundred meters (800m), it is the only place in this part of Samal Island that has maintained its shores by feeding the fishes, clean them with having periodic “Scubasurero Activities”, and has placed a “safety net” to ward off jelly fish and rubbish, discouraging anglers from poaching the area and encouraging its visitors to enjoy the marine life and leave the same so that others may also enjoy them. Its white sand beach as well as its surroundings are combed and cleaned throughout the day giving a pure and clean ambiance for its visitors and workers alike.

     The swimming area is adequately manned by lifeguards all day which makes swimming more enjoyable and worry free even for young kids and a few strokes farther leads you to an area perfect for snorkeling or even diving. Surely, a wet experience beyond compare to a man – made swimming pool.

     Only 7 minutes away from Davao City, Paradise Island is very near and visitors are ferried by a fleet of 10 colorful boats efficiently operated by the management of the resort from 5:00 AM up to 5:00 PM. After 5:00 PM, those who wish to go to Samal Island may ride the Ferry Boat (see Travel Map for directions) which serves the public until 11:00 PM.. Guests staying at Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao may arrange a boat trip to Paradise Island and back at the reception. This is the shortest route from Davao City which only takes five 5 minutes.

We went here after the Entrepreneurial conference which was held last February 24 to 27, 2011. "Eco Chic" won in the non-food category from De la Salle University Dasmarinas. This group belongs to our class ENT41.

Chillin @Paradise Island after a long long conference lol

Lasallian Festival 2011

The event started Jan. 24 but I wasn't able to sneak out for the events going on that day because of the Entrep corner we had.

@Lake park Entrep Corner ENT41

Entrep corner at lake park ended yesterday Jan 28. It's kinda boring considering that it is lasallian week and we don't have classes for the entire week, no dress code meaning we can wear casual or whatever clothing we like XD it happens only once in a school year and usually the last week of January. I can call it the laziest week for the entire school year :))

Shun Oguri

Well yah, I felt like I'm stalking Shun-san lol I even found his real/legit account <3

Shun Oguri 小栗 旬
December 26, 1982 (age 28)
Kodaira, Tokyo, Japan

Oguri's debut role was playing the bullied and abused child Noboru Yoshikawa from the drama Great Teacher Onizuka in 1998, when he was about sixteen years old. His acting attracted him great attention and from there, he moved onto bigger roles. In 2000, he played a deaf person in Summer Snow. Two years later, he starred in the popular drama Gokusan, in which he played the part of a bully, rather than the bullied, as he did in Great Teacher Onizuka.

His first lead role in a drama was in 2006 as Shinichi Kudo from Detective Conan. Oguri also lent his voice as a seiyū in Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa together with his brother Ryo Oguri in 2005. He also landed the role of Rui Hanazawa in the drama Hana Yori Dango, in which he once again acted alongside Gokusen co-star Jun Matsumoto. In 2007 he gained even more attention starring in the drama Hanazakari no Kimitachi e as Izumi Sano. In 2008, Oguri took up another lead drama role in Binbō Danshi, playing a poor college student named Kazumi Koyama. Oguri also played in the drama "Tokyo Dogs" as a lead role American detective.

He will reunite with Hana Yori Dango co-star Mao Inoue for the drama Jūi Dolittle (獣医ドリトル Veterinarian Dolittle), which will begin airing in October 2010 (Source: Wikipedia)

I fell in love with him after I watched Hanazakari no Kimitachi e and Hana Yori Dango. His role in both dramas definitely fit his personality its like all natural :))
